Yes, I am back. After fixing the Last Bug in NetWorker, Caren, the kids and I took off for 3 days in Monterey, where we had the pleasure of doing our taxes with our accountant and friend, Joel. Weather was great, the room right on the bay, sea lions barking; even went out on a boat and saw some whales heading back north. We returned midweek and finished the paperwork on refinancing our mortgage, then left the kids with Norma while Caren and I headed for Napa Valley, for a little kidfree R & R. We stayed at a pleasant resort in Yountville, just north of Napa, and mainly slept late, swam, and ate good food. Now, back at my desk, it all seems a dream.

Dana is thriving. Two weeks ago he set a number of personal firsts: first sitting, first pulling-up-by-self-to-a-stand, first crawl, first two teeth, and first word ("mama", naturally). Rachael pokes at him now and then, but he will soon be big enough to fend for himself. Caren likes everything about him except his habit of getting up at 6 AM, ready to play.

Now back to fixing bugs.
