And I didn’t realize he was tight, and with that she almost burst into tears. Her husband came over, and he was going to knock Joe out, and it was awful, just awful. So John and I, after that said, the only people we can mix are the Mackin‘s, Henry and Winnie. That’s the thing I like about them. You can put them any place. They can cope with anything, at any time. They’ve been around enough, but some people can’t cope. We could go in a bunch of archer and not end up in a fight.
Take some doing, too.
But I can do that, and also I can go in a crowd. Now, I feel an intellectual crowd, I don’t say as much there.
You still feel somewhat inhibited in an intellectual crowd?
A little bit, somewhat, well, sometimes when there are a bunch of these, traveling, judges, and stuff, I, I don’t talk to them too much. There are other kinds of things I can talk about.
But they stick so much to business it’s difficult?
Sometimes they do, yes, and I think they’d rather.
I think John is overworked.
Yes, I know who what you mean. Did he enjoy it though?
Well, he seemed to carry it off well. One thing, he never brings his problems home, which I think is very sweet of him. But I can tell when he walks in the door that he’s burden sometimes, but he’ll never admit it. But I think that he won’t be the appointment committee chairman next year.
