I worked out, you know, I belong to the junior league, and when I moved out to San Francisco, I was a member there, it was very nice because I could meet, I moved into a whole new community and I met girls, as my mother said, that were from the same backgrounds, which, but it was nice for me, because then, I got, they require a certain amount of work, you can’t belong and not do it, so I got into community work right away.
So for a lot of women, it does play a role.
I’ll say. You learn a little bit about leadership qualities if you’re any good, I was advertising manager for their little magazine. Once, I was very poor at it, but you do certain things. And I ran during the war I ran a furlough fun room.
