Astrological reading of Sam Edwards birth chart by Mary Marcy 

He has a very interesting arrangement of planets, and I guess what I’m looking at here suggest something along the lines of genius, but not as total as I’ve seen it. There is nothing significant on the Eastern hemisphere of the chart, it is all congregated on the other side. All his major planets are congregated into only three astrological houses with some offshoots into two houses, down below. This could be a marvelous politician, static, and police work in any area where there must dig down to get answers. Any area of research could fit, surgery also, research into the body. His vertex (which is a point of fate) is also in the sector of research and I could see him in politics, not so much out in the open, as a worker behind the scenes, another area he might be in his psychiatry. This sector rules all of these types of activities.

At this point, I tell Mary what Sam does and she says that he is absolutely where he belongs. Any kind of research – but yet there is a strong ability here – if he ever wants to call on it – in politics. He also has two planets in the sector of travel. But one of them, curiously enough, is Neptune, which usually deals with religion. I wonder about some of the strong religious overtones that I am looking at strikes me most interesting is the heavy congregation in the area of research and then down in the fifth sector where he has Saturn and Uranus in the area created potential so … What we have here is Uranus, which is a scientific planet, and that it deals with computers and engineering, and that makes a trine (trines are very good angles meaning easy flow), and this causes stimulation to apply and unusual application creatively, and whatever his work is. But the involvement with Mercury and Neptune defines the religious implications that I’m looking at suggesting that he is not particularly denominational, but that there is a lot of interest in religion. When I think of what he does for a living, it doesn’t make all that much sense, but there it is. I guess if I were trying to capsulize the whole thing, I would see him as a seeker in all areas, not just solely a research person in computers or whatever - yes a basic seeker and all.

He needs to be in charge. I have to qualify  that … it’s not that he wants to dominate people as much as it’s that he wants to be in charge of the job, he wants to do it in his way … this is a very strong tendency here. He should watch that a little because it’s in the area of relationships which is in the seventh sector and it is in conjunction with Pluto. That can be fairly strong and knowing his bride to be, I would suggest that he doesn’t come onto too strong … His moon is in Leo, which is a benevolent kind of taking over, it’s not like he’ll make her lose her identity or anything. It just gives him the basic desire to be the manager. He has a nurturing nature and has Jupiter in the sector of marriage, which almost automatically confers a reasonably happy marriage. this suggestion here is that his actor is a very good one. I’d like to develop that a little more. … one has a moon in Leo, and also needs to be in charge … That is it. It is emotionally satisfying for him to be in charge. … this the kind of a man who will take care of women and not feel that he is being imposed upon. He is almost a little old-fashioned in this way.

In terms of health - he has no major areas of weakness, so I would expect his health to be very good…. What is suggested here as far as health hazards … even in a small way… deals with lungs. I hope he doesn’t smoke. Smoking anything. - cigarettes or pot would not be the best thing for him. Also, he could have problems with his shoulders, arms, or hands, thighs, and liver. So he should watch fatty foods, liquor, drugs, etc., but not that I am giving this information in a very casual manner because I see him fundamentally sound and healthy, but everyone has their vulnerabilities, and because he has Saturn in the sign of Gemini he should be cautious about putting things into his lungs.

He makes his money in the areas of modern science, not particularly in the area of research. He gets his money through other people's money. … I would assume he is very successful. His South Node is rather curious - it has two good trines to it … so career wise it is good … but I know this sounds foolish and is an odd thing to say, but, I wonder if he gets much satisfaction out of making money. I’m not sure that he does, he has an exact between Uranus and the South Node (squares are difficult flow - the most difficult angles - reincarnationalists believe that squares you into learn a lesson).  It is almost as if money, having to make money, the routine that goes along with making money and fringes upon his independence…. Or his freedom. Reincarnationally it would seem that one of his problems in his life is not indulging himself in the area of freedom.  he needs more discipline, probably. Anyone who has this amount of ability has a price to pay. He’s not like common folk. It’s almost as if he has a reluctance to go full throttle all the time or as much as he should. There is a lot of nervous tension that goes with using the gifts that he has. and I think very often he pulls away from it too soon… he should make himself stronger in that area so he can take more. At the moment I am reading reincarnation, and when I see red (a square is in red) , and the red indicates problems left over from another time when he probably quit before he had run as much of a race as he could have. He didn’t give all he had.

I imagine that he’s quite an actor when he wants to. This comes on strong in the area of communication and his moon in Leo bolster this tendency. If he wants to exert himself, he can be quite dramatic, and put on quite a show. He may do it naturally. This is the usual with a moon in Leo and he also has Pisces here which gives him an extra edge. He can take on a character and he also has Aries in there, so it’s pretty forceful.

Kind of a woman - this man needs a very feminine woman. He needs a fairly domestic woman who will make a home. She doesn’t have to be a total mother, but someone who will put down roots … and despite the fact that he may want to buzz all over the place. It is hard to do a chart for someone like Sam because he has eight houses that have nothing in them. Reincarnationally this implies that he is a very very old soul and has figured out what has to happen and all these eight sectors…. That has all been done before.

The wedding date: the planets indicate a lot of activity in the area of romance, which is to be expected, but there also seems to be a lot of tension on that day. But that may be par for the course. It seems to be tension that they could probably do without. My message for them is to let it happen and when it’s over, don’t let it get to you. They have three hits in the area of romance and in the area of tension. he has a 13 Leo, that’s his emotionality, and Mars is 13 of Scorpio in the sector or career… it’s like the career and the wedding would be fighting one another… that could mean that it’s a bad time for him as far as work goes… the moon will be contacting his moon during the day and it will be in the sector of marriage, but he has no other major connections with the marriage sector on that day. So the moon is an indication that it could be a marriage day. Be extraordinarily alike…. They have Pluto and the moon in the same sector, they’re going to have fun as far as the upmanship is concerned. You see she has to be in control as well…. Well, maybe they’ll balance it out. They both have squares in this area… But remember, I don’t judge squares as good or bad. They can be extremely stimulating, it depends upon how one uses them. And my marriage we are full of squares and we’ve been married a very long time. Another indication that it is the marriage day. - other than the moon in his chart is that in her chart her vertex is conjunct with her Pluto and that means that it is a fateful day. Also, in both charts, the North Node is in the sector of romance. The North Node is like Jupiter…. It takes care of…. It is an expanding euphoric good feeling type of energy. She’s going to have a very good influence on him.

Her South Node is conjunct with his Jupiter, which is a sign that they’ve had a life before and since it’s her South Node where he will have his best influence on her is in her area of work. A very good influence on her in that area. But, the meaning of her node on his Jupiter is that he owes her from a past life. It might mean he didn’t treat her too well the last time around. It’s like he has a sense of responsibility toward her from another life.

Virgos are not the most sexual people in the world … but they are and they’re… it’s like they choose their time, they’re not impulsive. She may feel that because he’s not as demonstrative as she is that he doesn’t love her enough. He may feel what she feels and feel guilty about it and feel like he owes her more…. But if he tries too hard - that’s where the problems come. If you try too hard sexually, you will burn yourself out. But they must know all of these things about one another. Compromise is the key.

He is a man that no one is going to get to know fully. When you think you have him figured out, he surprises. … not that sneaky or anything like that, he’s a loner. Saturn is his ruling planet…. There is something about this man…. kind of removed from sex.

I almost get the feeling about this man that consciously he would rather remain unattached, but subconsciously he needs a home and roots. When one has the sun and moon and certain signs, personality, and programming have absolutely nothing in common. So therefore, you become a pretty complicated person, a many faceted person… but the emotional needs are at a variance with what he’s supposed to be doing. He could be a monk or a priest, but he’s too inquisitive…. You see he has Saturn in the area of romance. My feeling is that he sublimates his sexual drive…. There is a strong mystic aspect and a lot of Mystics do that. Anyone who has this kind of planetary congregation is a basic loner… very complicated. You can say it all honesty that there is genius caliber here.
