Animals: Iceland

Arctic fox: Iceland's only native mammal.  Yann Cordelle and I spotted it in a parking lot during our trip to Iceland in August and September of 2024.

The Icelandic Horse is a breed of horse developed in Iceland.  Smaller than other breeds, In addition to the gaits of walk, trot, and canter/gallop, typical of other horse breeds, many Icelandic horses can also do the tölt (ambling gait) and the flying pace (Look it up).
