Butterflies: Papua New Guinea

Papua New Guinea is home of the largest butterfly in the world, the Queen Alexandra's birdwing, which has a wingspan of up to 11 inches.  We tried raising raising them Rhapsody from caterpillars, but did not succeed.  We never saw one in the wild.  Above is a photo of one from the Internet, to give you an idea of itrs size.
