1987: Weekend with Ann Winblad, Bill Gates, and Others

Others included Steve Ballmer and Michael and Emily Goldberg.  We swamshot some poo, and went for a sail (during which Bill stayed below decks, reading books on biology).  I went for a walk on the beach with Bill, and discovered he knew all about the algorithm Microsoft Word used for storing and accessing documents.  But he didn't mention, and I did nor remind him, that pfs:Write, the word processor I wrote at Software Publishing Corporation, had beaten Microsoft Word three years in a row.
