These were the biggest days for surf in a long time.  I got this message the previous evening:

This is a message from the Capitola Police Department, due to weather severity in the area please shelter in place until further notice.

Philo and I drove down to Lighthouse Point, and had a devil of a time finding a place to park - the place was jammed with onlookers.
