Chimborzao is an inactive volcano about 93 miles south of Quito, Ecuador. Its last known eruption is believed to have occurred around 550 A.D.
Fun fact: Its summit holds the distinction of being the farthest point on Earth's surface from the Earth's center, due to its location along the planet's equatorial bulge.
It is the highest mountain in Ecuador, but only the 39th highest in the Andes.
Chimborzao was the seventh and last volcano I visited in Ecuador. Wikipedia lists 34.
Chimborazo is one of the best places anywhere to see guanaco.
