The Qilakitsoq mummies:
Discovered in 1972 along the west coast of Greenland, there are eight naturally mummified bodies - six women and two children - dating to around 1475 AD, during the Thule culture period (the ancestors of modern Inuit). They were found by two hunters in a small rock shelter.
