In May 2003 I left Australia with two crew, for the last leg of our South Pacific voyage. Our route carried us from Fiji north to Wallis and Futuna, Tokelau, Palmyra Island, and finally Hawaii, and took about one month.

Before we left Fiji, we all had our heads shaved - I'm not really sure why...

Graveyard in Futuna. Problem: there are no more burial plots available - the graveyard is full!
We had an audience with the king of Futuna - here I am in the required traditional dress for the occasiom.
The king is in the center. He was delighted to see us, and gave us small gifts of cash to show show his appreciation (they don't get a lot of visitors in Wallis and Futuna).
