Of course for many, the highlight of the Copper Canyon tour is the Parque de Aventura Barrancas del Cobre. It consists of a series of seven zip lines, one of which, with a length of 2,554 meters, is considered the longest in the world. The literature says you can read speeds of up to 135 kilometers per hour on this baby. Woo Woo! There is an age limit of 75 years, so I just got under the wire (get it?).
Can you spot the person on this bridge?
The view from the zip lines.
Instead of taking the cable car back up, I decided to walk back with these two lads as my guides.
My two guides live here, at the bottom of the zip line.
It would have been easier to return accompanied by two mountain goats.
If you don't want to pay extra, you can do the zip lines by just hanging on with your hands (just kidding).
On a dare, this couple had sex during their zip line ride.
Lots of cute kids in in the area.
And a very fine waterfall.
At my next stop, Chihuahua, I noticed boots, Menonites, and old men with cowboy hats.
And cool traffic lights for pedestrians.
My final stop, Tucson, was a long and boring bus ride north to the border. And that's about it for my 2013-2014: Punta Mita to Tucson trip.
