2017 - 2018:  Punta Mita Mexico to Quetzaltenango Guatemala

Visited the Parque-Museo La Venta, with its zoo, free-ranging coatis, and guided walk past many Olmec sculptures from La Venta to the west, dating from the pre-classic period: 900-400 BC.

Dinner of a giant cóctel de camarones at the Rock & Roll Cocktelería, near the hotel.  The streets in this “Zona Luz” part of town are mostly reserved for pedestrians, and they were packed.  And though it was pretty hot during the day, the evening temperature was lovely.
