Uber to city center, then bus 138 to airport (which is about 30 miles away). Comically complicated process to get my car, which ends up costing double the initial estimate, thanks to mandatory liability insurance. Also, if I bring it back before a week, I don’t get any money back. El Salvador...
Then two hour drive to this very cute mountain town, $20 room, 2 hour round trip walk to the volcanic very green Laguna de Alegria, and dinner of Indian soup and chicken overlooking the Parque Ecolologico Cartagena. Oh, and lunch stop on the way at the chicken chain whose name escapes me right now, but served me a really good chicken and hearts of palm salad.
