Hundafoss waterfall. The name of the waterfall is derived from the Icelandic word “hundur” meaning dog. It got its name “Dogsfall” from the fact that during the swelling of the river sometimes dogs from the farms floated off the waterfall.

We stayed the night at the Hotel Skógafoss, at the base of this waterfall with the same name (the photo is dark because it was taken around 9 PM. See tomorrow's better morning photos on the next page).
