Well, 10 years ago, if they had said something like that, that would’ve upset me, inside.

How recently did they come back?

They got back Sunday morning.

Oh, they just got back!

Yes.

Oh, I didn’t realize they had been gone.

They just went, don’t you remember, I took care of Erik.

All right! I just didn’t realize …

That’s right. They went back and were admitted to the Supreme Court or whatever.

Oh, you were telling me that that’s right.

And then they went to see the opening of the new national gallery.  With the Calder.

Is it real nice?

Oh! And then they went to the space Museum. They had a marvelous time in Washington. And then they went to his 10th reunion.

So they really had a good time.

Very good time. But as I say, I know that he’s been with his father, and that used to bother me, mainly before election time, his father would call up and say, I’d like to borrow the three boys and have them come down and have dinner with me. And I’d say, well, come get them. And so he would take them down to San Jose, and there would be some sort of a political dinner and the picture would be in the paper the next day with all five boys, Don Edwards and his five sons. that used to burn me up, because all the rest of the year and never paid any attention to them. But he could use these beautiful creatures…
