Well, I’m sure that he loved them and all in his way, but yes, it bothered me. And one night, I don’t remember which night, I guess it was the Kennedy Nixon thing, he brought them back here, about 12 at night. They’ve been with him at his headquarters. Did I tell you about this? They came in the house, And John – we had had a TV party. We had the TV there, and everybody had been sitting there, and everybody had gone home, because we thought that Kennedy had won, you know, and then the vote was creeping up, and, we were sitting there watching television, and Dan walked in the house with the boys, and neither of us gets up. He walks over to the television set, and says, “do you mind if I turn on one of the local stations? I’d like to see how the local returns are coming in.”  John was sitting there and he said, “yes, I do mind. “And Sam, who is like I am, didn’t want any kind of a fight, says right away, “well, John, just for a minute. It would be all right, couldn’t we do it? “And John said “, I’m watching this program “. And Dan insisted. He said, “alternate right back. “ he came in invited in the first place, and I said, “John, you know turn it on. “He said, “I’m watching this program, and I’m not going to change it. “We did not ask him to sit down and he sat down, and he sat down there for a little while. And then finally I guess he got the picture, because he said good night and left.

It sounds like he's really swift.
