I remember the wedding.

She just, oh, she knew that she had to put up with him, but what made her mad was that he brought the girl, she said, “she wasn’t invited. “I said, “well, that’s his girlfriend. “ And, you know, it was a small group, and so we were – it was hard to stay away.

Do you think that Leonard and Inger sometimes feel pulled? 

Leonard handles it beautifully. He never tells me a thing, he just talks about his life. I think he has a very good relationship with his father, and I’m glad. I think they should have, I think,, see through the whole thing, she’s heard both sides. Len hasn’t really ever heard much from me. I’ve never talk to him about it, or the boys, but I think their fathers talk to them very much. I know Sam, and I know he has had this time to Leonard.

And Leonard, the one who’s closest to him? 

Yes. Leonards the most like him.

Did that make it complicated for you and dealing with Leonard?

Not a bit. It made it complicated for the first year. For Bruce, it was great. He just crawled up to John’s lap and that was his new daddy and that was great. I don’t think Sam has any respect for Don, I really don’t. But he will use him. They’ll all use him for gifts.
