Sure, Don paid for their hotel bills in Washington – why shouldn’t he? And I think he has sent money to them. The only thing that I, one time was a little peeved, they were collecting money for something from him, and also for me, and I found out about it, and I said, “I think that’s not honest. “
It’s profitable.
Yes. So, we straightened that out.
And so you said – I guess it was yesterday or maybe before that, you said that in many ways, the family is sort of mellowed out.
Particularly with Sam.
Oh yes, I think it’s marvelous if Sam comes back on a visit or whatever he does, I think we’ll all feel closer together, because of, what, what he’s gone through in a kind of a self analysis on his trip. And he’s expressed now in letters to us all. He’s written Bruce , and to us. Over the years I guess he has felt less close to us than the other boys. Less able to express his feelings, and this was true with his girlfriends. He had no trouble with girls, he had lots of them, and too many of them, and he was never true to any of them. And now he has a girlfriend that is really crazy about and she is about him, And so he’s learning – he said, for the first time he has learned what it is to love somebody, which which is so nice. And he said, in one of the letters that we were such an ice, cold family, and everybody wrote him back letters, including anger, saying, this is within you, This is the way you feel, and it’s certainly not the way we feel. And so he, when the letter came, and he writes awfully well, I think he’s just going into his self analysis, now he says that it’s easier to put it on paper. I don’t know how I’ll do when I see you. But I think it will be great, I do.
