Volcanoes: Rainier

In 2012 I took a climbing course on on the mountain, taught by Jim Whittaker (the first American to climb Mt. Everest) and a sherpa (the first person to climb Mt. Everest twice).  We stayed in a mountain hut for several days, but bad weather kept us from reaching the summit.  The picture above shows Jim carrying a sheet of plexiglass to the hut.
