From Thailand we headed south, through Malaysia and Singapore, and into Indonesia. We traveled the length of Java, then took the short hop to Bali, our destination. I had taken this route about fourteen years before, while a Peace Corps Voplunteer in Malaysia, and spent time visiting Surabaya, Yogyakarta, and especially Borobudur Temple (see below). This time, however, we were mainly interested in just hanging out in Bali.
