Ah, India. A country full of wonders, many of which I had never heard of. And a country full of hassles and inconveniences. Visitors end up either loving India or hating it. For me, it became - and remains - my most favorite country of all.

The Red Fort. Emperor Shah Jahan commissioned construction of the Red Fort in May 1638, when he decided to shift his capital from Agra to Delhi.

The Mahabodhi "Bodhi" Tree at the Sri Mahabodhi Temple in Bodh Gaya. Siddhartha Gautama, the spiritual teacher who became known as the Buddha, is said to have attained enlightenment circa 500 BC under this tree. This tree, planted around 250 BC, is a direct descendent of the original tree.
