Following close on the heels of my visit to Oman, I flew on to Tel Aviv (I had visited all of the Middle Eastern countries I wanted, so I could now safely get an Israel stamp in my passport), took a bus to Eilat, and was ready for the Sinai. I would end up spending about 3 weeks on the Sinai Peninsula, with lots of diving, a fair amount of hiking, and plenty of relaxing on the beaches. A nice interval before my next big adventure: the Israel National Trail.

Eilat
Because of a credit card glitch I stayed in Eilat longer than I had wished. I mostly stayed in my hotel, with occasional outings for food, or just strolling around. Eilat is mostly a vacation spot for tourists, and didn't really offer me much of interest.
