26. Mitla. Dec 20, 2015. Unique among Mesoamerican sites because of its elaborate and intricate mosaic fretwork and geometric designs. The mosaics are made with small, finely cut and polished stone pieces that have been fitted together without the use of mortar.
Dec 20, 2015: Weaving, comida, mezcal in Mitla, Oaxaca. A large part of the local population is dedicated to the production and sale of traditional clothing made with a pedal and shuttle loom. Definitely worth a look:
But I paid a lot more attention to the comida and mezcal part of the tour:
