From November I visited the Mexican states of Nayarit, Jalisco, Guanajuato, Chiapas, Oaxaca, and Baja Sur (where I enjoyed a mini vacation with Dana, Rachael, Jeremy, and Jeremy's parents, watching the kids kite board).  I traveled by plane, car, bus, and river craft.  I traveled alone, staying in local hotels, eating at local restaurants, and taking local tours only when necessary.  My guide was the Lonely Planet Mexico.  This trip lasted 3 months. I loved every minute of it.
