Took local bus there, luxury bus (ENT) back: big difference in comfort and speed, not much difference in price.  From now on, ENT for me.  Spent the day walking the main streets of Guanajuato, from park to park, cathedral to cathedral, in a deep river valley, the town extending above on both sides.  Student town, very lively, plus lots of marriages in the churches.
