1. Punta Mita. Nov 1, 2015. My home base, where all my travels began. It is here that Caren and I purchased a condo on the beach in 2006. I spent most of November 2015 in our condo in Punta Mita, swimming in the morning, Spanish lessons in the afternoon (taught by the young and attractive professora, Fabiola), PBS news hour and Netflix in the evenings (Mad Men - I miss bingeing The West Wing with John). My meals were simple: rice, beans, tuna fish, salads, omelettes, smoothies. This routine was seldom interrupted: once to Sayulita to see the baby turtles (they are liberated at sunset, and make a mad dash for the sea); and once to Puerto Vallarta to see the Day of the Dead (Dia de Muertos) displays.
It had a great infinity pool adjacent to the beach.
Just across the street was Ropi's restaurant, who decorated its front.
