2019: Honduras

Feb 14, 2019.  D&D Brewery, Los Naranjos, Honduras.

• Rain!  First in Central America!  Also a case of the trots.  Otherwise fine.  Spent afternoon enjoying the Bioparque Paradise.  Lovely area, lots of pretty tropical plants, and a beautiful Pozo Azul.  But rain...

• Will probably leave tomorrow, especially if it continues to rain.  But this has been a great stop - best yet.

Ferry to Utila: 4:40 PM

Feb 15, 2019.  Hotel Bertha, Tela, Honduras ($11)

• Free ride to San Pedro Sula airport, courtesy of Dan & Katy Sanders (but not married!), then nice bus to Tela.  Will take a nap and then hit the town this evening (it’s hot here on the coast).  Guide book says this is a terrible town, but it’s close to the botanical garden, so screw it.  Room is cheap and clean.   No WiFi.  

• Trump just declared a national emergency to build the wall...

• Dinner at Luces Del Norte: huge, delicious bowl of coconut flavored sopa de mariscos.

• Dry season: November - April
