2019: Honduras

Feb 18, 2019: Omega Tours Eco-Jungle Lodge, Río Cangrejal, Honduras ($50)

• Short chicken bus ride to La Moskitia Adventuras Lodge, which turned out to be unoccupied and really run down (although with a nice view over the river).  So hoofed it another kilometer or so to this place: expensive but oh so nice, with a swimming pool, another pool with seats to sit in while little fishies nibble at your feet, and the nicest room of my travels by far.  Three friendly dogs, nice jungly hiking trails, hot water shower, $2 rum & coconut drink, and enormous salad with homemade bread and tapenade.  Best splurge yet.  A few other guests, families and couples, plus a German with info on Utila, my next stop.
