Mígandifoss
Akureyri, nicknamed "The Capital of North Iceland", the largest town outside of the capital region (but even so, its population is only about 20,000).
Goðafoss, the "Waterfall of the Gods," is Iceland’s second most powerful waterfall.
Myrvatn Lake. It was created by a large basaltic lava eruption 2300 years ago, and the surrounding landscape is dominated by volcanic landforms, including lava pillars and rootless vents (pseudocraters).
