Sep 21, 2016. Hostal Suecia II, Cusco, Peru.
Morning tour with the gang of mostly Sacsayhuaman, including a fun coca leaf ceremony. I almost missed the tour because of a sudden onset of diarrhea, which nailed me in the middle of the Plaza de Armas. Had to recover with socks and underwear in a ziplock bag, truly an awful scene - and yet, the third time this has happened to me on this trip so far - or has it been four? And I had already gone at the hotel a little earlier...
Farewell to Len, who had a flight to Lima to catch, then a final bit of shopping - and another great LP restaurant meal with Che and Bruce - and a goodbye to them as well. It was, all in all, a great vacation, and a great opportunity to get to know my two brothers and Che a little better.
It began to rain hard as soon as they left, so I ducked into a coffee bar, waited it out, then found a hostal within a block or two of the main plaza: about $20 a night. Went back to the plaza and booked a trip to the so-called Rainbow Mountain for the next day - leaving at 3:30 in the morning - then a lovely meal at "Victor Victoria" (Quinoa laced with cheese, and some miniature meat empanadas), now time to get some sleep.
